About Dance On Demand

Our SDC instructors have designed class videos for your child to safely practice at home, whenever it’s convenient for you! No worries about scheduling or compromised quality. Through our course curriculum, your child will practice lessons in ballet, movement exploration, and hip hop! Every 30 days your course will be updated to include new lessons and activities to complete.

Ballet Instructor

Carla Pinto

Carla Pinto (Ms. Carla) is a dance instructor and customer care assistant at SDC. She grew up dancing in the Dallas area, studied dance at Collin College, and graduated with a BFA in Dance from Sam Houston State University. At SHSU, she was the proud recipient of the Kelly Barber Endowed Dance Performance Scholarship. Ms. Carla recently became a certified instructor for RhythmWorks Integrative Dance and is the coordinator of SDC’s Bravo Program for students with disabilities. In addition to dance, Ms. Carla has a passion for yoga and wellness and is a 200-hour Registered Yoga Teacher. She currently teaches at The Sacred Space in Frisco and is pursuing a career as a Certified Life Coach. In her spare time, Ms. Carla also teaches wellness to senior citizens in the community.

Movement Exploration Instructor

DeeDee Bourdo

DeeDee Bourdo (Ms. DeeDee) is a dance instructor and customer care assistant at SDC. She attended SDC as a student for seven years and graduated from Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts. Ms. DeeDee earned her BFA in Dance from Sam Houston State University. While in college, she was privileged to perform in works by choreographers such as Robert Battle, Sidra Bell, and Shen Wei, and participate in performance opportunities at Dance Gallery Houston, Houston Choreographers x6, and the America College Dance Associate. Ms. DeeDee is also a certified Pilates instructor and teaches at Club Pilates in Frisco.

Hip Hop Instructor

Sarah Flaherty

Sarah Flaherty (Ms. Sarah) is the social media coordinator at SDC as well as a dance instructor. Ms. Sarah took her very first dance class at SDC and danced at the studio for nine years, through high school graduation. She is currently a sophomore at Collin College studying dance and was the proud recipient of the Collin Dance Ensemble scholarship. As a part of the Ensemble, Ms. Sarah has also had the opportunity to perform at the American College Dance Association Conference and has presented choreography at the dance department’s student showcase. She gained experience in social media marketing through her coursework and social media account management for Collin Dance Ensemble. Ms. Sarah’s next goal is to transfer to a four-year university to complete her BFA in dance.
